Breakthrough

Today I spent about three minutes enjoying the feeling of having achieved a scientific breakthrough. Well, not for the whole science, maybe, but at least for my master thesis. Still I was too shocked to realize such things just don't happen to ordinary master students.

Some additional experiments convinced me quickly that I still remain a deadly man. I have just discovered a new feature of my SOAs that I can't jet understand or interpret. So I spent the rest of the day hating polarization and getting firm in my opinion that the nature never behaves as you expect it to.

But these three magical minutes... They will remain in my heart for a long time...
