The dummy laser

It is the second week now since I started to do my master thesis. The good news are: It is right about to get interesting.

The first week I spent making a "dummy" laser and fitting it with a coordinating device that lacked documentation so now one really new how it worked. At last, we found out. Now I am trying to determine how the laser amplifiers work. I have had some progress, but in order to finish it, I need to get to lab at 7 a.m. tomorrow, as it's still cold, and make some simple measurements. After that, I may go home and go on sleeping until 10.

When that boring job is done, I will start developing a software to control the whole system of lasers and amplifiers. Cool...
